Our Year 1 students embarked on a true measurement adventure, full of creativity, curiosity, and teamwork!
From mini dinosaurs to pens, everything became a fun unit of measurement to compare heights within the class. But there was one essential rule: always use the same unit to ensure accurate comparisons!

In this hands-on and collaborative activity, our young explorers discovered an important math insight: the smaller the unit of measurement, the greater the number needed — and vice versa!
Through experimentation and sharing, they developed logical thinking, an understanding of magnitude, and, above all, the joy of learning in an active and engaging way.

It was an unforgettable experience, filled with discoveries, smiles, and learning that goes far beyond the ruler. Who knew measuring could be this exciting?

De mini dinossauros a canetas, tudo se transformou em unidades de medida originais para comparar alturas dentro da turma. Mas havia uma regra fundamental: usar sempre a mesma unidade para garantir medições precisas!

Nesta atividade prática e colaborativa, os pequenos exploradores descobriram uma grande verdade matemática: quanto menor a unidade de medida, maior o número necessário para medir – e o contrário também!
Através da experimentação e da partilha, desenvolveram o pensamento lógico, a noção de grandeza e, acima de tudo, viveram a alegria de aprender de forma ativa e divertida.
